Long before The 11th Floor became a symbol of luxury dining high above Johannesburg, it began with a family kitchen and one relentless dream.
From Italian family roots to a rooftop calling.
Born to first-generation Italian South African parents, Antonio Iozzo grew up where faith, family and food were sacred. After his father was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Antonio began working at a local pizzeria at fifteen to support his family — learning early that excellence is born from care.
He later put himself through hotel school and, together with his family, opened their first Italian restaurant. It failed, but the lessons shaped what came next.
